According to the news released by the group, the total length of Jiangxi-Shenzhen high-speed rail line is 452.1 kilometers, including about 317.2 kilometers in Guangdong province. The line speed target value is designed according to 350 km/h, and the total investment is estimated to be 70.664 billion yuan.

According to the introduction, the passenger line from Ganzhou to Shenzhen is located in Jiangxi and Guangdong provinces, from Ganzhou West railway station of Changgan passenger line to the north, after passing through Nankang, Xinfeng, Longnan, Dingnan and other counties in Ganzhou city, enter Heyuan city in Guangdong province, and pass Heyuan City Heyuan County, Longchuan county, Dongyuan county, Heyuan City District and Huizhou city Boluo County, Huicheng district and Huiyang district to Shenzhen Shenzhen East railway station.

Huizhou rail transit planning modification (draft) revealed that the Jiangxi-Shenzhen high-speed railway will set up Huizhou east railway station (the water intake area in the eastern part of the urban area) and station together with Guangshan railway. If the starting point is set at Huicheng water gate, the length of the route to Shenzhen East railway station is about 80 kilometers. Measured according to the maximum speed of 350 kilometers per hour, it takes only 14 minutes to take the Jiangxi-Shenzhen high-speed railway from Huizhou to Shenzhen East railway station. Even if the speed changes in actual operation, it is estimated to be between 15 and 30 minutes, which will save about an hour compared with the current travel modes such as self-driving and train. Of course, the time for departure from Shenzhen to Ganzhou, Jiangxi will be greatly shortened, and it will take less than two hours at the earliest.

It is reported that the Jiangxi-Shenzhen high-speed railway is an important part of the Jing Jiu passenger dedicated line and an important channel for communication between the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta. It undertakes the responsibilities of the Pearl River Delta, the eastern Guangdong region mainly gives priority to the external long-distance passenger flow and takes into account the inter-city passenger flow along the line and between eastern Guangdong and Pearl River Delta. The project construction is of great significance for realizing the industrial transfer in Pearl River Delta region, driving the urbanization process along the line and developing tourism resources along the line.
